Omni United to Showcase Exciting New Product Lines at SEMA 2016

TRAVERSE CITY, Mich., October 31st, 2016 – Omni United will once again showcase what it says will be ground-breaking for American drivers at this year’s Specialty Equipment Market Association Show (SEMA) in Las Vegas from November 1st to 4th. Omni’s booth will feature the new, exciting and more comprehensive than ever Radar range, the innovative Timberland Tires range, Thailand-produced Goodride PLT/TBR ranges and the built-to-last RoadLux TBR range.

 

Over the past year, the company’s focus has been on building Radar as a comprehensive tire range that dealers can come to as a one-stop-shop for all their tire needs. With the addition many new patterns and multiple new sizes, today the Radar range, boasts of many segment-leading lines like the Run-flat line and the new and innovative 4 season line. Our new products the Dimax AS8, the Renegade AT 5 and the Renegade R7 are very appealing to consumers and have seen a quick uptake from the market.

Omni United will once again showcase Timberland Tires, with the Timberland A/T and the Timberland Cross. The Timberland Cross is available in 35 sizes for small SUVs and crossovers. The Timberland A/T is available in 30 sizes for the LT and P-metric full size SUV, truck and van market. The line encompasses a total 65 sizes and line combinations for complete coverage of CUV, SUV and Pick-Up trucks.

The company will aim to showcase their popular Goodride and RoadLux brand offers as well. Products on display from RoadLux include the 11R22.5 R216 with stone ejectors, the R516, the R518 and the innovative new R701. Several Thailand-produced Goodride PLT/TBR products will also be on display, including the RP88, SA07 and RP36 PLT products and the 11R22.5/14 CR915 long haul trailer, 11R22.5-14 CR960A all position and the CM983 closed shoulder.

This year, Omni United will command a 70’ x 50’ booth at the Global Tire Expo, part of the SEMA Show. The booth (#43199) will be located in the second section of the South Hall Lower Level of the Las Vegas Convention Center.

The company’s booth will also display a customized 2016 Urban Warrior Land Rover Defender sporting a set of Radar Renegade A/T5 285/70R17 tires mounted on custom 17-inch wheels. This $150,000 Urban Warrior underwent extensive modifications and customizations both on the inside and outside by Sean Hyland Motorsports of Woodstock, Ontario.

 TRAVERSE CITY, MI – October 2nd, 2016 – Omni United, through its flagship brand, Radar Tires, continues to support The Breast Cancer Research Foundation® (BCRF) for the fifth consecutive year. In 2011 Omni launched the ‘Mobilizing Hope’ campaign, a corporate alliance with the BCRF that has included donations for each Radar tire sold or one–off contributions. To date this campaign has contributed over USD 1 million or funded over 21,000 hours of some of the world’s most promising and innovative research towards preventing and curing breast cancer.

Besides its monetary contributions to the BCRF, over the last five years Omni United and Radar Tires have sponsored and undertaken numerous initiatives to spread awareness for this cause, including:

  • Launching a limited edition “pink sidewall” tire, sold through Sears Auto Centers.
  • Encouraging our customers, tire distributors, dealers and retailers throughout the world, to support the Mobilizing Hope campaign by providing them with in store displays, pink ribbons and other awareness materials to distribute among customers.
  • Displaying the logo of the BCRF on all Radar Tires motorsports teams racing cars and gear.

This year, Radar’s brand ambassador, LPGA golfer Jodi Ewart Shadoff, will join her efforts and visibility to further increase awareness of this cause and of the work of the BCRF. Jodi is the first professional female golf player publicly supporting the BCRF. During the month of October (officially recognized as the Breast Cancer Awareness month), Jodi will be wearing pink gear and using a specially design pink golf club bag in all the tournaments in which she is due to participate, including:

  • The LPGA KEB HANA Bank Championship in Incheon, South Korea from October 13th to 16th and
  • Sime Darby LPGA Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur from October 27th to 30th.

OMNI UNITED ACQUIRES US BASED DISTRIBUTOR, A TO Z TIRE

Traverse City, June 30th, 2016 – Omni United today announced that it has successfully closed its 2nd acquisition in the United States with the purchase of Texas based A to Z Tire & Battery, Inc.

A to Z Tire was founded in 1926 as Amarillo Bus Company and since then the company has grown to serve a network of over 6,000 dealers across 6 states in the west and south regions including Montana, California, Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas. A to Z Tire currently manages 21 locations with over 500,000 sq. ft. of warehousing space.

A to Z Tire carries Toyo, Cooper, Atturo, Firestone, Roadmaster, Gladiator, Samson and other brands. Post the acquisition it will continue to distribute these and additionally include Goodride and Omni United’s brands such as Radar Tires and the newly launched Timberland Tires, the tire brand manufactured in partnership with outdoors lifestyle fashion and footwear brand, Timberland.

The acquisition of A to Z Tire is the next strategic step towards scaling up the multi brand distribution business of Omni United in the US.

Jodi Ewart Shadoff is an English professional golfer who plays on the LPGA Tour and on the Ladies European Tour. Jodi started to play golf at the age of 8 and became one of the top female players in the United Kingdom, becoming a member of the Great Britain and Ireland Curtis Cup team in 2008. Omni United Acquires Interstate Tire

The move towards vertical integration will provide new opportunities for growth and innovation

SINGAPORE, October 26th, 2015 – Omni United Pte. Ltd. announced today that it has acquired Interstate Tire Distributor (ITD), the tire wholesale distributor based in Commerce, CA. Terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.

ITD was founded in Los Angeles, CA in 1963. Since then, the company has grown throughout Southern California and across the Southwestern United States to service 2,500 tire retailers throughout the western part of the US. It operates six locations, including three in Southern California (Commerce, San Bernardino and Fullerton); one in Arizona (Phoenix); one in Utah (Salt Lake City); and one in Nevada (Las Vegas).

ITD focuses on distributing mid–tier leading brands such as Toyo, Nexen and Yokohama, in addition to more value driven brands such as Mastercraft, Duro, Atturo and Goodride, (the later, part of Omni United’s portfolio). Following the acquisition, ITD will also distribute some of the other Omni United brands, including the recently launched Timberland Tires, the tire brand launched in partnership with outdoors lifestyle fashion and footwear brand, Timberland.

The three principals of ITD, John Farkas, Scott Simpson, and Matt Seavers will remain on as senior leadership team running the day-to-day operations.
